At the San Isidro Lighthouse Lodge you will find the southernmost lodging on the American Continent, on the route to Cape Froward, where solitude can be experimented in a pristine atmosphere, enjoying outdoor activities available to your choice such as trekking, kayaking, hiking; observation of flora and fauna, getting to know history, take a sauna or take a dip in the Straits, or simply rest. The lodge has six double rooms, all comfortably equipped with hight quality twin box-spring beds, private baths with hot water, electricity and heating provided with slow combustion wood burning heaters. There is a dining room and a cosy living room with a wonderful view of the Strait of Magellan. Additionally, we have an outdoor spa with two hot water tubs and a sauna that will prompt you to take a bath in the waters of the Strait of Magellan. With a family type attention, you will enjoy your meals and conversations after carrying out the days activities, where you will able to chose between an easy walk on the coastal border, with the observation of intertidal zone, alternating with stretches of evergreen woodlands or a walk to reach the summit of Mount Tarn (830 mts. high) which was climbed by Charles Darwin in 1834, or paddling in a kayak to Aguila Bay, or if you wish so, you may reach Cape Froward or intermediate points, or make a navigation in fast boats to reach the geographical point where continental America is born. gallery
